Review of 'Staying with the Trouble' on 'Storygraph'

Yeah so like - some really genuinely fascinating ideas explained in really fascinating ways. And then, some interesting ideas that aren't ever truly explored fully throughout the book (I kept reading and hoping they would come back in more detail). Very repetitive overall? Which I understand is a political choice, and I shouldn't judge academic feminist texts through traditional masculinist notions of what writing is, it's more just that it makes it difficult to not want to give up every now and again. I persevered though, and in some ways I'm glad? But I think if you're wanting to read the book you could definitely just go up til the end of the 2nd chapter and you'd be fine. I do think 'staying with the trouble' is a very rousing and effective call though, and the call for kinship with all critters is desperately needed.
