such a bizarre and wonderful text - featuring everything from tennis, catholicism, homoeroticism and the atrocities of spanish colonialism. At times I felt a bit overwhelmed by the historical detail and got lost in the names, but this is also evidence of how thoroughly researched and committed the book is! 100% would recommend devoting your time to this one x
