A world full of simple, wholehearted emotions. Everything - joy, grief, lust, sadness, love - is rendered so brightly and hugely. I wasn’t ready for quite how sad this book became, I think precisely because of how filled with amazement and wonder it starts off. I haven’t read anything else quite like it and now really want to dive into more surrealism. Also everyone hates work and I love it! The anti-capitalism came through!
